Karoni Forrester
Karoni Forrester is the daughter of Capt. Ronald W. Forrester, USMC. Capt. Forrester was listed MIA on Dec. 27, 1972 when his A6-A was shot down over North Vietnam during Operation Linebacker II, just one month before the signing of the Peace Accords.
Forty-three years later, Capt. Forrester is still missing in action. Neither he, nor his pilot Capt. Jim Chipman, have been recovered. Karoni has been active in the POW/MIA community most of her life, searching for the truth about what happened to her father and all U.S. servicemen that are still missing in action. A member of the National League of POW/MIA Families, she serves on their national board of directors and as the Texas state coordinator. She participates in veterans and POW/MIA events around the country to garner support from the public for the fullest possible accounting of our POW/MIAs. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Karoni works in the technology industry. She and her daughter Lilian live in Austin, Texas.
