Grace Liem Galloway

From 1967-1970, Grace Liem Galloway was in Vietnam volunteering with Catholic Relief Services. She cared for victims of rape and children of victims of rape.


Today, Galloway is a nurse practitioner at The Community Free Clinic in Concord, North Carolina. She graduated from the Medical College of Virginia (VCU) in 1985 with a BSN. She then attended Nova SE University and obtained her MS in Health Services Administration in 1999. She later obtained her MSN, FNP in 2004 from UNC Charlotte, and followed up with a Ph.D. in Public Health from Sacramento University in 2006.


She has spent over 40 years dedicated to the care and welfare of the underprivileged, veterans, the homeless, and children with food insecurity. She states, "I intend to spend the rest of my life doing the same." In her spare time, she travels the country with her husband Joseph Galloway, one of America's premier war and foreign correspondents, and her service dog Jacques.
